Founded in 1996, Jeff Santoloci, a lifelong surfer with a Master’s Degree in Teaching combined his passion for the sport with his love of education to create NJ’s first surf school on the island he grew up on.
Today, LBI Surfing’s expert coaches introduce thousands of students each summer to the thrill of surfing, providing top-notch instruction and guidance. They also help set students up with the gear they need to confidently ride the waves on your own.

LBI Surfing has you and your family covered when it comes to fun in the sun on Long Beach Island, NJ. We have LBI’s best camps and lessons for young kids as well as adults, so the entire family can learn together in a safe and fun environment.
LBI Surfing was established in 1996 by Jeff Santoloci. Jeff has a Master’s Degree in Teaching and is a lifelong LBI resident. He hand-picks and trains his teaching staff and coaches to ensure that students learn from the best in the business.
Our fully certified co-ed team of instructors includes full-time school teachers, competitive surfers, and boasts plenty of local knowledge to ensure the best experience possible for you and your loved ones with four locations throughout LBI to choose from!
We also have full-service water sports and bicycle retail and rental shops in Surf City and Beach Haven that offer delivery to your front door, or you can extend your fun and rent your equipment at the beach after your lesson ends.
